Eldagsen is a district of Petershagen in the Minden-Lübbecke district in East Westphalia .

geography

It is north of the Heisterholz forest and the Ösper . In the south and east, Eldagsen borders on the Kernstadt district , in the north on the Ovenstädt district and the Nienburg district and in the west on the Maaslingen district . In addition to the town center along Dorfstrasse, there are several other settlements in the heath to the north, as well as the Osterhope development area.

Eldagsen is located on the Mühlenroute cycle path and the Weserradweg long-distance cycle path .

history

Until the municipal reorganization on January 1, 1973, Eldagsen was an independent municipality with a total area of around 5.55 km² and 817 inhabitants (December 31, 1972) and belonged to the Petershagen office . On December 31, 2008, Eldagsen had a population of 1110.

politics

The interests of the population of Eldagsen have been represented to the council and administration of the city of Petershagen since 1973 by a mayor who is elected by the council of the city of Petershagen on the basis of the election result.

Helma Owczarski is the local mayor.

Economy and Infrastructure

Eldagsen has its own primary school on the western outskirts and a riding hall. Shops, post offices and banks have largely moved to the center of Petershagen.

The cultural community Eldagsen tries to coordinate the dates of the numerous Eldagser associations.
