Location of the Petershagen office in the Minden district | ||
The Petershagen office is a former office in the then Minden district in North Rhine-Westphalia with its seat in Petershagen . The office was dissolved by the Bielefeld Act on December 31, 1972. The legal successor to the Petershagen office is the city of Petershagen .
The office extended west of the Weser and north of the city of Minden . In the north it bordered the state of Lower Saxony .
The office was founded in 1843. After the office of Schlüsselburg was dissolved in 1934 , the communities of Großenheerse and Buchholz were added to the office of Petershagen. Apart from the brick industry, the office was largely agricultural.
At the time of the dissolution the office had 15,500 inhabitants, was 96.60 km² and was divided into the city of Petershagen and the twelve communities Buchholz , Eldagsen , Friedewalde , Grossenheerse , Hävern , Kutenhausen , Maaslingen , Meßlingen , Ovenstädt , Stemmer , Südfelde and Todtenhausen . The communities of Kutenhausen, Stemmer and Todtenhausen, which lay south of the Heisterholz , were incorporated into the city of Minden; the other parishes formed the new city of Petershagen with parishes of the Windheim office.
