The Office Rehme was an office in the district of Minden in North Rhine-Westphalia , Germany with the official seat in Werste . The office was dissolved by the Bielefeld Act on December 31, 1972; the legal successor is the city of Bad Oeynhausen . In 1931 the Amt Rehme had 17,539 inhabitants.

history

The Office Rehme was initially formed in 1843 from the communities of Rehme, Niederbecksen and Dehme. In 1851 the municipalities of Werste, Wulferdingsen, Volmerdingsen and Eidinghausen , which had left the Dützen office , were added. In the same year, the two communities of Rehme and Niederbecksen were merged to form the community of Rehme-Niederbecksen . By cabinet order of April 26, 1859, the town of Bad Oeynhausen was founded from parts of the communities of Rehme-Niederbecksen and Gohfeld ( Herford district ) and assigned to the office of Rehme. In 1868 Rehme and Niederbecksen were again separated into two communities.

When the Cöln-Mindener-Eisenbahn opened in 1847 , the station was first called Bad Rehme and later Bad Oeynhausen . Until 1885, the city of Oeynhausen belonged to the Rehme Office and was considered an official city under the Westphalian rural community code. Only then did Oeynhausen leave office and receive the town code .

Today's city of Bad Oeynhausen was created as part of the municipal reform set out in the Bielefeld Act on January 1, 1973. The old core city was merged with the municipalities of the Rehme district to form the new city of Bad Oeynhausen. The then dissolved Office Rehme included the communities Rehme, Lohe, Dehme, Eidinghausen, Werste, Volmerdingsen and Wulferdingsen. According to the main statute of the city of Bad Oeynhausen, the new city is divided into the following districts: Bad Oeynhausen (core city), Dehme , Eidinghausen , Lohe , Rehme , Volmerdingsen , Werste and Wulferdingsen .
