Fremantle (company)
Fremantle (formerly FrementleMedia ) is a British subsidiary of the Luxembourg RTL Group , which belongs to the German media group Bertelsmann and which mainly bundles the group's content production .
2000, the Luxembourg-German joint venture bought CLT-UFA , from a radio station and a television production company composed, the British competition media group Pearson PLC their content company Pearson Television, and then renamed itself of its most television stations in RTL Group, headquartered in after the prominent names Luxembourg to . The group mainly took the place of the no longer existing CLT, while the UFA was brought in as a subsidiary of the larger Pearson TV acquired and a new content group was formed, which was named "FremantleMedia" and its headquarters were like Pearson TV took place in London. The company sees itself in the tradition of the oldest integrated subsidiary and therefore indicates the beginning of its history with 1917, the year UFA was founded.
FremantleMedia is v. a. known for its television production companies, but has a total of three main businesses, namely production, licensing and distribution.
The group has subsidiaries in 22 countries (with rights in approx. 150 states), approx. 10,000 hours of programming, more than 60 formats and over 300 titles, e.g. B. about UFA show Germany Idol / American Idol or Good times, bad times and SOKO 5113 .
