French & Saunders

French & Saunders was a British comedy series. The main actors were Dawn French and Jennifer Saunders . The show had its premiere on March 9, 1987. The series was produced by the BBC . One episode was about 30 minutes long. Furthermore, there were always various special productions. The series ended in 2005 with a Christmas special.

In addition to classic sketches, current movies or music videos are often parodied in the programs. The series was nominated eleven times for the BAFTA Awards , won a prize for Best Make-Up in 1994. The production also received four nominations - one of which was won - at the Royal Television Society Television Awards . The screenwriters 'guild in Great Britain honored the series with the Writers' Guild of Great Britain Award in 1991 .
