Fresher

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Fresher Guitars were manufactured by the Japanese company Matsumoto Musical Instrument Manufacturers Association from 1973 to serve the Japanese instrument market. First three models appeared in the lower low-end range, the FL-331, a Les Paul Custom copy, the FN-281, a copy of the Fender Competition Mustang , and the FN-384, a copy of the Rickenbacker 4001 electric bass .

In 1977 Fresher released higher quality guitars with built-in electronics to create sound effects. A total of 5 effects were “onboard”, which could be controlled via setting buttons and switched on and off individually. The sustain had its own on-switch, while one switch switched auto-wah or power booster and a third switch switched on or off distortion or phaser , so that three effects could be used at the same time. Until production was discontinued in 1985, Fresher continued to produce some very high-quality replicas of various successful guitar models.
