Talya Lador-Fresher (born 1962 in Petach Tikwa , Hebrew פתח תקווה) is an Israeli diplomat . From 2015 to 2019 she acted as Israel's ambassador to Austria and Slovenia .

Life

Talya Lador-Fresher did her military service for the State of Israel in the field of intelligence from 1981 to 1983 . She studied business administration and political science at the Hebrew University in Jerusalem and graduated in 1987 with a Bachelor of Arts . In 1989 she joined the diplomatic service in her country. From 1991 to 1993 she worked in the Israeli Embassy in Jamaica, then until 1997 in the Consulate General in New York.

She then spent three years in the Foreign Ministry and the Presidential Office dealing with global Jewish affairs. From 2006 to 2010 she served as Plenipotentiary Envoy at the London Embassy. From 2010 to 2015 she headed the protocol department of the Israeli Foreign Ministry. On December 6, 2015, she took over the ambassador's agenda in Vienna and represented her country as a permanent representative at the international organizations in Vienna ( UNIDO and OSCE ). At the end of 2019, she left this post on schedule and returned to Israel.

On January 13, 2020, Talya Lador-Fresher became chargé d'affaires of the Israeli embassy in Paris after the previous Israeli ambassador to France , Aliza Bin-Noun , left the post at the end of December and was ordered back to Israel.

Lador-Fresher is married and has two children.
