Ben Segenreich (born March 3, 1952 in Vienna ) is an Austrian-Israeli journalist , correspondent and Middle East expert .

Life

Ben Segenreich graduated from the French Lyceum in Vienna and studied physics and mathematics in Paris and Vienna. During his studies he was involved a. a. for victims of anti-Semitic discrimination and Jewish dissidents in the Soviet Union. After receiving his doctorate in physics, he worked as a software developer and at the same time was the Austria correspondent for the Israeli daily Maariw ( Maariv ).

In 1983 he emigrated to Israel and worked as a software developer. From 1989 he was a correspondent for Austrian, German and Swiss daily newspapers and magazines. From 1990 to 2018 Ben Segenreich worked as a television and radio correspondent for ORF in Israel. He continues to live in Israel as a freelance journalist, author and lecturer.

He is married and has two daughters.
