Freya-Maria Anita Klinger (born February 26, 1984 in Löbau ) is a German politician ( Die Linke ). From October 2004 to September 2014 she was a member of the Saxon state parliament for the party Die Linke .

Life

Freya-Maria Klinger did her Abitur at Johann-Wolfgang-von-Goethe-Gymnasium Chemnitz and was a registered student during her mandate in the state parliament.

At the municipal level , she was a member of the Chemnitz City Council from June 2004 to March 2006. Since October 2004 she has been a member of the left-wing parliamentary group in the Saxon state parliament. There she was a member of the Committee on Social Affairs, Health, Family, Women and Youth during the 4th electoral term (2004–2009) . Klinger was a member of the Interior Committee in the 5th electoral term. From April 2012 to 2014 she was one of 19 members of the Saxon NSU investigative committee "Neo-Nazi Terror Networks in Saxony". She was the migration policy spokesperson for her group.

In addition to her mandate, she is a deputy member of the state youth welfare committee, chairwoman of Jugendbildungswerk eV and deputy chairwoman of Rothaus e. V.

She did not run again for the 2014 state election.
