Fria or Kimbo is the capital of the Prefecture Fria in the region Boké in Guinea . The city is the center of the Guinean bauxite and alumina industry . The city is grouped around the alumina factory. Fria is connected to Conakry by a 1000 mm railway line, which, however, serves exclusively for the transport of goods. There is a small airport in the south of the city.
