Peace of Badajoz (1801)

The Peace of Badajoz was passed on June 6, 1801 and ended the Orange War between the allied Spain and France and the enemy Portugal . Portugal had to agree to the cession of the city of Olivença (Spanish: Olivenza ) to Spain, the cession of parts of northern Brazil to France ( French Guiana ) and the closure of its ports to British ships and to make a payment of 25 million francs .
