Friedemann Tiedt

Friedemann Tiedt (born February 15, 1945 in Berlin ) is a German politician ( SPD ). From 1990 to 1999 he was a member of the state parliament of Saxony .

Tiedt attended high schools in Landshut and in Berlin-Zehlendorf and finally made his Abitur in Dortmund. This was followed by a degree in chemistry at the TH Munich and the University of Madrid. After graduating in 1969, he did his doctorate in 1972. From 1973 he was a research assistant at the chair for sociology at the University of Wuppertal. From 1974 to 1978 he was also an employee and deputy head of the Institute for Social Work and Social Pedagogy in Bonn and Frankfurt. He then worked as a freelance practice researcher and institutional consultant until 1989. He was the managing director of LEG regional development company in Düsseldorf.

He had been a member of the SPD since 1970. From September 1990 he was chairman of the SPD sub-district of Chemnitz and in October 1990 he entered the state parliament of Saxony via the state list, to which he also belonged in the second electoral period until 1999.
