Peace Chapel (Brilon)
The Friedenskapelle , also called Marienkapelle , is a chapel on the Borberg between Brilon and Olsberg in the Hochsauerlandkreis .
The chapel was built in 1923. A memorial plaque commemorates the international youth meeting of the Peace Association of German Catholics on September 13, 1931 and Abbé Franz Stock as "Messenger of Peace". A wooden wayside shrine of St. Anthony , which bears the year 1618, is kept in the chapel . The wayside shrine is popularly known as Ficke-Tünnes . The chapel is a place of pilgrimage within the diocese of Paderborn .
