investment

In 1572 the cemetery was moved from the town church to its present location. In 1902 it was extended to the west and the morgue was built. The cemetery chapel from 1548 is in the older eastern part of the complex.

There are historical gravestones from the 18th to the 20th century on the site. In the cemetery, the deceased of both denominations from the urban area and Protestants from Wolframs-Eschenbach, which belongs to the parish of Merkendorf, are laid to rest. In 2011 the parish began to renovate the cemetery paths.
