Cemetery (Weißenstadt)
The cemetery in Weißenstadt is a listed cemetery behind the cemetery church of Weißenstadt .
On the outer wall of the cemetery church there are numerous tombs that have been attached to it since 1910, which originally covered the church floor or were exposed on the outside area. The oldest tomb dates from 1575. The cemetery has been expanded several times. It was created at a time when the area was still outside the city walls. The cemetery is still surrounded by the old cemetery wall to the south and south-west of the church. Behind the cemetery there is a listed ensemble of rock cellars , which were built from the middle of the 18th century. The prominent director Peter Beauvais is buried in the cemetery.
