The cemetery in Haunsheim , a municipality in the district of Dillingen an der Donau in the Bavarian administrative district of Swabia , was established in the 17th century. The Holy Trinity Church is located in the cemetery area .

The cemetery, which is protected as an architectural monument , was walled according to the inscription in 1609. At the corners there are square towers with rustic edges, key notches and a tent roof . The architecturally designed gate is placed in the middle of the southern wall. The arched gate is flanked by pilaster strips that cut through the transom profile. A rectangular structure with an inscription plaque is attached above the cornice . The gate is crowned by a blown gable with a cornice and a square battlement covered with a tent roof. The wall is structured on the inside by segmented arch niches. In the areas in between there are small segmented arched windows with key notches. The structural design of the cemetery comes from Esaias Holl , the brother of the famous Elias Holl .

Graves

Without exception, all graves bear simple wooden crosses with stylized, folkloric motifs: Tree of Life , Eye of God, etc. a. With its uniform design, the cemetery complex symbolizes the idea of ​​equality between people in death.
