description
The memorial with several hundred graves was built in 1975 and renovated and expanded in October 1985. It covers an area of 30 hectares. 530 granite steps lead up to the cemetery. The entrance area is characterized by a monumental gate in Korean architectural style. In front of the entrance area there is a plinth on which flowers can be placed in honor of the deceased.
Further steps lead to the graves, each with a bronze bust. At the far end of the memorial there is a striking red granite flag and the graves of famous people.
