Cemetery chapel in Essen-Kupferdreh

The Protestant cemetery chapel in Essen 's Kupferdreh district was inaugurated at the beginning of the 20th century and declared a monument in 1989.

history

The chapel is plastered on a broken stone base and has a mansard gable roof. There is a five-sided, single-storey choir extension with arched windows and structured pilaster strips. On the eaves sides are arched windows with original Art Nouveau glazing, in the south there is a single-storey extension with a mansard gable roof and a niche framed by pilasters . A single-storey plastered extension with a hipped roof extends almost over the entire second side of the eaves. There is a wide entrance above the outside staircase.

On November 23, 1989, the cemetery chapel was placed under monument protection.
