Cemetery portal

The cemetery portal is a listed building remnant in Rüthen , a town in the Soest district in North Rhine-Westphalia . The cemetery is on the site of the former Rüthen Castle .

The portal is the only remnant of the Capuchin monastery built by Ambrosius von Oelde from 1683 to 1686 . The magnificent structure bears the Fürstenberg coat of arms and a donor inscription. The portal made of Rüthener sandstone is marked 1684.
