Wilfried Hansmann

Wilfried Hansmann (born September 5, 1940 in Waldbröl - Hufen ) is a German art historian and monument conservator .

Life

Wilfried Hansmann studied art history, German, history and folklore and graduated in 1967 with a Magister Artium at the University of Bonn . In 1969, with a thesis on the staircase and the large new apartment of the Brühl Castle, he was awarded Dr. phil. PhD. From 1969 onwards, Hansmann worked for the Rhenish Office for the Preservation of Monuments , from 1985 to 2005 as chief conservator and head of the restoration workshops. He taught art history at the University of Bonn. In 2006 he was appointed professor by the state government of North Rhine-Westphalia.

Hansmann is married and has two children. He is a member of the Catholic student association KDSt.V. Borusso-Westfalia Bonn in the CV .

He has published numerous books and academic articles. He is co-editor of the magazine "Die Gartenkunst".
