Friedrich-Glück memorial

The Friedrich Glück memorial in the rectory of Schornbach (today a sub-community of Schorndorf ) offers a documentary exhibition in the entrance hallway about the poet, composer and priest of Hohenasperg Friedrich Glück (1793-1840), who was transferred here as a pastor in 1829 and in whose rectory was frequented by the writers Rudolf Kausler, Hermann Kurz and Berthold Auerbach .

Friedrich Glück set to music, among other things, the well-known poem In a cool reason , there is a mill wheel by Joseph von Eichendorff . A plaque on the town hall and in the cemetery remind of Friedrich Glück's life and work in Schornbach.
