Friedrich-Wilhelm Kriesel

Friedrich-Wilhelm Kriesel (* 1948 ) is a Brigadier General a. D. the air force of the German armed forces . Most recently he was in command of the Strategic Reconnaissance Command .

Kriesel joined the Bundeswehr in 1967.

As a staff officer he was, among other things, head of the military section of the CSCE Mission Georgia in South Ossetia from 1992 to 1994 and headed the first CFE inspection of the Federal Republic of Germany in Russia and the Ukraine.

As a general he was in command of the Strategic Reconnaissance Command and was retired from this position on February 28, 2010.

Wolf-Dietrich Kriesel is the younger brother of Friedrich-Wilhelm Kriesel.
