Friedrich-Wilhelm Vordemfelde

Friedrich-Wilhelm Vordemfelde (born July 2, 1923 in Westerhausen (Melle) , † December 20, 1992 in Northeim ) was a German local politician ( CDU ) and entrepreneur. From 1981 to 1986 he was mayor of the southern Lower Saxony city ​​of Northeim.

Life

Friedrich-Wilhelm Vordemfelde was born on July 2, 1923 as the son of the Vordemfelde family of manufacturers in Westerhausen in the Melle district. He went to Northeim from Gladbach in 1947. In 1961 he moved to the Northeim City Council for the CDU for the first time. Positions as senator and deputy mayor followed. From 1968 to 1981 Vordemfelde was parliamentary group leader of his party in the council. In 1981 he finally became mayor, an office which he held until 1986.

He was chairman of the board of the Lower Saxony-Bremen clothing industry and was a member of the board of directors of the professional association for men's and boys' clothing industry at the federal level.

Vordemfelde died on December 20, 1992 at the age of 69 in Northeim.
