Friedrich-Wilhelm von Rothkirch and Panthen (born February 16, 1884 , † December 24, 1953 ) was a German officer , last lieutenant general in World War II . He was awarded the Knight's Cross of the Iron Cross on August 15, 1940 as major general and commander of the 13th Infantry Division .
