Friedrich (Zeitz)
Friedrich von Zeitz († 990 / 991 ) was the second bishop of Zeitz .
Friedrich is mentioned in only one source during his time as bishop, so both the beginning of his term of office in 979 or 980 and the end with his death in 990 or 991 remain open. Heinz Wießner thinks a term of office from 979 to 990 is likely. Friedrich was ordained by Archbishop Adalbert von Magdeburg . Friedrich is mentioned in a paper by Thietmar von Merseburg in autumn 981 on the occasion of the abolition of the diocese of Merseburg under Archbishop Giselher von Magdeburg .
