Friedrich August Mücke

Friedrich August Mücke (* 1788 in Sorau ; † after 1870) was a German Protestant pastor and writer in Schrebitz and a knight of the Royal Saxon Order of Albrecht .

Life

Mücke was deputy principal in Annaberg from 1811 . In 1815 he became a deacon in Annaberg and worked from 1825 to 1833 as a pastor in Großbardau near Grimma . In 1834 he took over the pastor's office from his predecessor J. Gottl. Hofmann (1760-1833) in Schrebitz .

On October 1, 1854, Mücke was a member of the Historical Theological Society in Leipzig. Friedrich August Mücke was pastor of Schrebitz and Gallschütz until July 23, 1871 . On the occasion of the 50th anniversary celebration of the parish office of Schrebitz, the parish of Schrebitz dedicated an oil portrait to him on July 14, 1861, which can be viewed in the local Wenceslas Church today.

In 1867 Mücke published his work on The Dogmatics of the Nineteenth Century in which he deals with Friedrich Schleiermacher's program of dogmatics . This work is still considered an important work of the theological encyclopedia and is an attempt to adapt the questions of faith to the Age of Enlightenment .
