Carl Friedrich Wilhelm Berge , called Friedrich Berge , (born December 11, 1811 in Stuttgart ; † September 19, 1883 ibid) was a German naturalist, ornithologist and entomologist .

Life

His father was a type founder at Cotta'schen Verlag in Stuttgart, he himself was a construction assistant. In his private life he dealt with nature research, about which he published several books, including birds, butterflies and beetles.

He was married three times: the first marriage was divorced, his second wife died. His third marriage was Amalie Bilfinger.
