Friedrich Bouvier (born April 11, 1943 in Graz ) is an Austrian architect and monument conservator, editor of the historical yearbook of the city of Graz and was state curator of Styria from 1989 to 2007 .

Career

Friedrich Bouvier studied architecture at the Graz University of Technology (graduated as a graduate engineer in 1971). He then became a university assistant at the Institute for Art History at the Technical University of Graz. He wrote his dissertation on “the urban ensemble using the example of the Graz square sequence” (1977 doctorate to Dr. tech.). In 1979 he became a member of the Graz Old Town Commission, in 1985 employee of the Federal Monuments Office in the State Conservatory for Styria, in 1989 State Conservator for Styria, a position he held until 2007.
