Friedrich Dragon

Friedrich Dragon (born August 2, 1929 in Krems an der Donau , Lower Austria ) is a retired Austrian journalist who, together with Hans Dichand, was instrumental in founding the Kronen Zeitung in 1959 , of which he remained editor-in-chief until 2001.

life and work

From 1959, when the Kronen Zeitung was re-established , Dragon was a member of its management team until 2001. Even after he was dismissed by Dichand without notice due to a conflict, he continued to have a significant influence on the paper as Krone's sole authorized signatory of the WAZ media group until mid-2007.
