Friedrich Leopold

Justus Friedrich Günther Leopold (born November 24, 1795 in Appenrode ; † June 18, 1875 ) was a German Lutheran theologian, consistorial councilor and general superintendent of the General Diocese of Hoya-Diepholz .

Life

Friedrich Leopold, a son of Pastor Justus Ludwig Leopold, became assistant preacher at the palace church in Hanover in 1822 after studying theology. From 1822 to 1825 he was also court chaplain at the Neustädter court and town church . In 1825 he joined the consistory in Hanover as an unskilled worker . In 1832 he became the second palace preacher, in 1839 the first palace preacher at the palace church in Hanover. From 1841 to 1868 he was General Superintendent of the General Diocese of Hoya-Diepholz. Since 1839 he was a full clerical member of the consistory.
