Gijs Ronnes (born June 10, 1977 in Boxmeer ) is a former Dutch beach volleyball player .
Career
Gijs Ronnes played his first international tournaments with Max Backer in 2001 . Bracker / Ronnes finished ninth at the 2002 European Championships in Basel . In 2003 Ronnes formed a new duo with Jochem de Gruijter . At the 2004 European Championships in Timmendorfer Strand , the two Dutch came in 19th place. The World Cup 2005 in Berlin , they finished after defeats against the Norwegians Horrem / Pettersen and the Brazilian Márcio Araújo / Fabio Luiz 25th ranked Her biggest success was de Gruijter / Ronnes in the 2006 European Championship at home in The Hague , as it only in the final against the Germans Julius Brink and Christoph Dieckmann lost. At the 2007 World Cup in Gstaad, they were eliminated as third party after the preliminary round. A year later, Gijs Ronnes ended his international career.
