Career

Bram Ronnes played his first open tournaments with Rodin Merx in 2001 . In 2002 he competed with Emiel Boersma for the first time , without reaching any front placements. At the European Championships in Alanya in 2003 and in Timmendorfer Strand in 2004 , he came in 19th place with Boudewijn Maas . At the 2007 World Cup , Ronnes / Boersma prevailed as runners-up in the group against two tied duos and were only defeated by the Russians Barsuk / Kolodinski in the second round after another win against the Laciga brothers . Against the same opponent they lost a little later in the third main round of the EM in Valencia ; on the losing side, they fought their way almost to the semi-finals before they were defeated by the German duo Klemperer / Koreng . The following year they had to admit defeat twice in the third set in Hamburg . They then took part in the Olympic tournament in Beijing . With a win against the Germans Brink / Dieckmann , they secured themselves third party participation in the playoff game, which they lost to Klemperer / Koreng a few hours later. After the games, they ended their partnership. Bram Ronnes competed with Jorn Huiskamp in 2009 , but failed in the preliminary round of the World Cup in Stavanger without winning a set.
