Jochem de Gruijter (born April 18, 1978 in Leidschendam ) is a former Dutch volleyball and beach volleyball player .
Career
De Gruijter made his debut in 1995 in the Dutch national volleyball team . Two years later, he and the team won the European Championship in their own country with a 3-1 win in the final against Yugoslavia . In total, he came to 120 missions in the national team.
In 2003 de Gruijter played his first international beach tournaments with Gijs Ronnes . In the following year, the two Dutch took 19th place at the European Championships in Timmendorfer Strand . They finished the 2005 World Cup after losing to the Norwegians Horrem / Pettersen and the Brazilians Márcio Araújo / Fábio Luiz in 25th place. De Gruijter / Ronnes achieved their greatest success at the 2006 European Championships when they only played in the final against the Germans Julius Brink and Christoph Dieckmann documents . At the 2007 World Cup in Gstaad, they were eliminated as third party after the preliminary round. A year later, de Gruijter ended his international career.
