Max Backer (born July 22, 1976 in Gouda ) is a former Dutch beach volleyball player .

Career

Max Backer has played on the FIVB World Tour with Gijs Ronnes since 2001 . Bracker / Ronnes finished ninth at the 2002 European Championships in Basel . In 2003 Backer formed a new duo with Emiel Boersma . Backer / Boersma finished fifth at the 2003 European Championships in Alanya , after being defeated by the Germans Dieckmann / Reckermann in the quarterfinals . Then they failed, however, in the preliminary round of the World Cup in Rio de Janeiro .
