Friedrich Marquardt

Friedrich Marquardt (born September 19, 1909 in Nakel an der Netze , † November 11, 2007 ) was a German SPD politician .

education and profession

Friedrich Marquardt attended elementary school and vocational school. He was a volunteer, then a radio technician and workshop manager. In 1942 he passed the master craftsman examination. In 1945 he became self-employed.

politics

Friedrich Marquardt became a member of the Socialist Workers' Youth in 1928 and a member of the SPD in 1930. He was a member of the advisory board for SME issues of the federal executive committee of the SPD. He became a member of the metal workers' association in 1926 and from 1928 to 1933 he acted as chairman of the youth metal workers and chairman of the union youth cartel in the General German Trade Union Federation (ADGB). From 1952 to 1969 he was councilor of the city of Essen.

In 1926 Marquardt became a member of the Naturefriends Youth. He worked as head master of the radio and television technicians' guild, as deputy district master craftsman, as well as state group leader in the guild association and deputy state guild master.

Friedrich Marquardt was directly elected member of the 6th and 7th state parliaments of North Rhine-Westphalia for the constituency 065 Essen III from July 25, 1966 to May 27, 1975 .
