Johann Christoph Friedrich Osterloh (* 1755 in Dornburg ; † after 1811) was a Prussian architect and construction clerk in the Principality of Halberstadt .

Life

Osterloh was talented in drawing and in 1781 at the latest became a chamber conductor. As such, he delivered several hand-drawn maps from the area between Magdeburg and Halberstadt . The quality of his work led in 1787 to the appointment of Friedrich Osterloh as construction assistant and later as royal Prussian master builder in the Principality of Halberstadt. As such, he was the successor to the master builder Johann Christian Huth , whom he had been placed at his side. He was a member of the immediate forestry and building commission, which was helpful to the War and Domain Chamber in Halberstadt in forestry and building matters.

Friedrich Osterloh designed a number of secular and spiritual buildings in the Principality of Halberstadt and had numerous repairs carried out, mainly on farm buildings. After the Principality of Halberstadt had become part of the Kingdom of Westphalia , he also entered the service of King Jérôme Bonaparte as a master builder and was responsible for the Halberstadt district in the Saale department.

Friedrich Osterloh was a member of the Freemasons Association ; In 1808 he became a member of the lodge to the three hammers in Halberstadt .
