Friedrich Reischl (architect)

Friedrich Reischl , also Fritz Reischl (born August 26, 1911 in Graz , † March 3, 1990 in Linz ) was an Austrian architect .

Life

Friedrich Reischl studied architecture at the Graz University of Technology with Friedrich Zotter and Wunibald Deininger . From 1938 he was in the construction office of the Linz Hermann-Göring-Werke (VÖEST-Alpine) and erected some technical buildings, such as the first blown steel mill. His most important work is the parish church of St. Michael am Bindermichl in Linz, a reinforced concrete structure with a parabolic floor plan; the first of its kind in Upper Austria.

Reischl was also a university professor and from 1967 to 1969 dean at Graz University of Technology .
