Friedrich Wilhelm Ebbinghaus

Friedrich Wilhelm Ebbinghaus (born August 31, 1789 in Iserlohn ; † November 5, 1847 in Düsseldorf ) was a German entrepreneur and politician.

Ebbinghaus was a manufacturer and landowner. In 1812 he bought the Letmathe house . In 1818 he founded the company FW Ebbinghaus at the same location , which became the largest paper mill in Prussia. His brother Carl Dietrich Ebbinghaus was a metal manufacturer in Letmathe.

From 1826 to 1831 he was a member of the Provincial Parliament of the Province of Westphalia for the state of the rural communities in the Mark constituency and for the Iserlohn and Altena districts .
