Friedrich Wilhelm Wahl

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Friedrich Wilhelm Wahl ( 1778 - 1830 ) was a doctor, city physician , mountain ridge and regimental doctor in Weimar .

According to a letter from Heinrich Karl Friedrich Peucer to Karl August Böttiger on June 22, 1826, Goethe and Johann Friedrich Meyer were treated by Wahl after the death of Wilhelm Rehbein . Accordingly, Wahl treated an ulcer on the neck. It says:

"Goethe and Meyer are better, but not quite made. The former has an ulcer on his neck under his jaw. After Rehbein's death, Bergrat Wahl, who is also my family doctor, treats him. But there is no danger." Without a doubt, Goethe was Wahl's most prominent patient. However, Wahl was never Goethe's family doctor. In the listing of Goethe's doctors a. a. at Effi Biedrzynski in their Goethe's Weimar choice might be missing so. However , it can be proven that Goethe's servants or their children opted for treatment. Goethe himself took part because the illness of the children of his servants prevented them from working in his house. At least it is with Johann August Friedrich John u. a. in a letter (concept) dated May 2, 1829.
