Friedrich Zacher

Friedrich Zacher (born June 18, 1884 in Breslau , † September 16, 1961 in Berlin ) was a German entomologist .

Zacher was after his doctorate in 1910 (contributions to the revision of the Dermapteren) from 1911 at the Biological Reichsanstalt in Berlin-Dahlem. He was there senior government councilor and chairman of the laboratory for storage and storage pests. After the war he was head of department at the Institute of Nutrition and Catering Science from 1945 and retired in 1952. He was an honorary professor at the TH Charlottenburg .

In addition to insect pests, especially beetles and grasshoppers, he dealt with earwigs and velvet worms .
