Friedrich of Brandenburg-Schwedt

Margrave Friedrich von Brandenburg-Schwedt (born August 13, 1710 , † April 10, 1741 in Mollwitz ) was the second son of Margrave Albrecht Friedrich von Brandenburg-Schwedt and his wife Maria Dorothea von Kurland (1684–1743).

Life

He first went into Dutch service and then became Colonel of the Royal Guard on horseback. From 1737 he was a knight of the Order of St. John . In 1741 he was a colonel and commander of the Margrave Karl regiment in the battle of Mollwitz , where he also died.

His name can also be found on the equestrian statue of Frederick the Great in Berlin .
