The Frigate Range (English for Frigate Mountains ) is a mountain range in the Antarctic Ross Dependency . In the Queen Elizabeth Range it rises east of Mount Markham over a length of 19 km.
They named the northern group of a 1961 to 1962 campaign as part of the New Zealand Geological Survey Antarctic Expedition in memory of the use of frigates of the Royal New Zealand Navy in the Antarctic patrol service .
