The Queen Elizabeth Range (English for Queen Elizabeth chain ) is a rugged mountain range of around 160 kilometers in length, which extends from the Nimrod Glacier in the north to the Law Glacier in the south along the east side of the Marsh Glacier . The highest point is Mount Markham with a height of 4350 m .
The mountain range was named by JH Miller, a member of the New Zealand team of the Commonwealth Trans-Antarctic Expedition (1955-1958). It is named after the English Queen Elizabeth II (* 1926), the patron of the expedition.
