Fresh on
Frisch auf is an outdated greeting that was used in a similar way to the miner's greeting Glückauf . This greeting was common among workers or hikers in certain regions.
In Turner circles greeting was used, starting from 1846, however, "Gut Heil" sat as Turner Greeting by.
In the Badnerlied , which was written around 1865, the line “fresh up, fresh up; fresh up, fresh up; fresh on, fresh on my Badnerland ”sung. In the Sachsenlied , which served as a model for the Badnerlied, the greeting “Glück auf” stood for “Fresh up”.
"Fresh up" in literature
The German poet and playwright Theodor Körner (1791–1813) wrote the poem Frisch, their hunter, free and nimble during his time in the Lützow Freikorps . From Körner's poem “Call” from 1813, the White Rose later quoted the line “Fresh up, my people! Smoke the flame signs ”.

"Fresh up" is the historical greeting of the worker cyclists in Germany and Switzerland. From 1912 there was a cooperative Frischauf bicycle factory in Offenbach.
