The FSV Berolina Stralau is a German football club from Berlin . The home of the 400-member club is the Laskersportplatz , which can accommodate 4000 spectators.
history
In today's FSV Berolina Stralau, several clubs that were founded in the course of the 20th century have sprung up. The original parent clubs were
- the BFC Libertas-Südost 1901 , which played its home games on the Grenzallee sports field in Neukölln and was renamed BSC Berolina 1901 in 1909
- the Lichtenberger SC Frisch Auf, also founded in 1901
- the Lichtenberger SC founded in 1902 and
- the SV Stralau 1910 , an association of the workers' sports movement .
Frisch Auf and LSC 1902 merged in 1919 to form Lichtenberger SC 1901 . In 1926 the BSC Berolina merged with the Lichtenberger SC to form the Berolina Lichtenberger SC 01 .
SV Stralau 10 reached the final of the German ATSB championship in 1925 in the Dresden Ilgen-Kampfbahn , where it was defeated 0: 7 by Dresden SV 10 on June 27, 1925 . After the prohibition of the workers' sports movement, SV Stralau had to come under the umbrella of the DFB in 1933.
On a sporting level, Berolina LSC reached the round of 16 after victories over SC Victoria Hamburg and Vorwärts-Rasensport Gleiwitz in the Tschammerpokal in 1935 , in which the Berliners lost to FC Hanau 93 with 1: 5. The promotion to the Gauliga Berlin-Brandenburg was missed until the end of the war, whereby the Berolina LSC formed a war sports community with the SV Stralau in 1910 from 1943 . The club operated as KSG Berolina / Stralau Berlin until 1945.
In 1945, at the instigation of the Allies, all civil associations had to be dissolved. Sports competitions were initially limited to a local area. Then members of the previous Berolina founded the sports community (SG) Stralau. The sports community took part in Berlin's first post-war championship as early as 1945, the qualification for the Berlin City League , which was clearly missed behind SG Schillerpark and SG Mariendorf , among others . From 1949, the Berlin sports associations were able to use their historical names again due to the Berlin Four Power Agreement. The then renamed SG Berolina Stralau was next to Concordia Wilhelmsruh , SG Köpenick and SG Hohenschönhausen one of the few football clubs in East Berlin that never had to give up their real names. However, it was disadvantageous that these sports groups were not supported by a so-called sponsoring company , which meant that Berolina Stralau was never able to achieve promotion to the second-rate GDR league . After temporary stays in the third-class Berlin district league , Berolina played mostly in the district class.
After the turning point in 1989 , the SG changed back into a civil association under the name SV Stralau 1901. Even after 1989, the club, which has always played under-class, merged with Eintracht Friedrichshain in 1992 to form Friedrichshainer SV Berolina Stralau 01. The current division is the Berlin League , after the championship in the state league in the 2017/2018 season and thus the first promotion to Berlin's highest football league. League could be achieved. The club was immediately relegated.
