Fritsch GmbH - Mahlen und Messen is a German manufacturer of laboratory equipment for sample preparation and particle measurement from Idar-Oberstein in Rhineland-Palatinate .

history

In 1920 the company was founded as a technical gemstone dealer in Idar-Oberstein. Initially, Fritsch sold agate mortars for the production of powders to pharmacies and chemical laboratories. In 1955 the company specialized in sample preparation and particle measurement. In 1962 the company applied for its first patent. In 1985 Fritsch entered the field of laser technology. From 2005 the company operates worldwide and opens its first subsidiary in Singapore. In 2014 the new 4,900 m² production hall was opened in Idar-Oberstein.
