Fritz Everding

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Fritz Everding (born February 5, 1903 in Hamm ; † November 16, 1965 ibid) was a naturalistic painter and graphic artist.

Everding completed an apprenticeship as a locksmith and then worked for the Reichsbahn until he had to give up his job in 1932 for health reasons. From then on he devoted himself to art.

Everding created landscapes and cityscapes of Hamm. The latter are of historical interest as they document the changes in the city from the pre-war period to the destruction of the Second World War and into the post-war period.
