Fritz Greßnich

Fritz Greßnich (* 1927 in Erlenbach ; † December 24, 2013 in Friesenhagen ) was a German local politician.

Career

Greßnich came to Friesenhagen in 1953 as a treasurer. He worked as the treasurer of the municipal administration. There he was elected full-time mayor of the municipality of Friesenhagen in October 1960. After the local government reform in 1975, he became a full-time first alderman from January 1, 1975 and on June 10 of that year he became mayor of the local community of Kirchen (Sieg) and of the Association of Churches (Sieg) . He remained mayor of the association until June 1992, the month of his retirement. Greßnich had been awarded the Federal Cross of Merit on Ribbon since October 1979.
