Höffler belonged to the FV Kaiserslautern , for which he played point games in the championships organized by the Association of South German Football Associations in the 1911/12 and 1912/13 seasons as a striker in the western district , one of four districts as the regional highest division. In the playoff for the Westkreis championship, the round-robin tournament with eight teams was finished tied with the Phoenix Mannheim , his team lost 2-0 to the team from Mannheim after the return leg on March 17 and 25, 1912; in the following season, his team finished fifth.
