Fritz Haenchen

Fritz Paul Haenchen (born March 6, 1907 in Großzschachwitz , † July 14, 1986 in Dresden ) was a German horticultural inspector.

Haenchen published numerous books, especially on roses . From 1947 to 1972 he was co-owner and managing director of the Victor Teschendorff company , a tree and rose school, and was an adult education center lecturer and guest employee of the German Academy of Agricultural Sciences in Berlin , horticulture section .

One of his three sons is the conductor Hartmut Haenchen .
